Product information "HI2020F edge™ Fullpack - pH/DO/EC/TDS/NaCl/°C Meter including 3 Electrodes"
DESCRIPTION: Hanna Instruments is proud to introduce the world’s most innovative pH, EC, and DO meter... edge™.

edge is thin and lightweight, measuring just 1?2” thick and weighing less than 9 ounces. edge has an incredibly wide viewing angle, 5.5” LCD and a sensitive capacitive touch keypad. edge measures pH, conductivity and dissolved oxygen through its unique digital electrodes.

These digital electrodes are auto-recognized. Providing sensor type, calibration data and serial number when connected to edge with an easy to plug-in 3.5mm connector. edge’s versatile design is equally at home in your hand, on a lab bench or mounted on a wall. It simplifies measurement, configuration, calibration, diagnostics, logging and transferring data to a computer or a USB drive.

edge features Hanna’s exclusive CAL-CHECK® to warn you if the pH electrode you are using is not clean or if your buffers are contaminated during calibration. Indicators are also displayed for response time and probe condition that is based on the offset and slope of the electrode. We have also added to SENSOR-CHECK for sensors with matching pin: now it warns you if the pH bulb is cracked or if the junction of the electrode is clogged. edge is the culmination of Hanna’s vision, design capabilities, integrated production facilities, and world class R&D teams.

DESIGN FEATURES IN-DEPTH:

Thin, Lightweight Design – edge is incredibly thin and lightweight, measuring just 0.5” thick and weighing just 8.8 ounces. It takes up very little space and is easy to carry.

Versatile – edge is highly versatile. It can be setup in a laboratory on a benchtop (with its included cradle), attached to a wall (with the included wall mount) or carried by hand like a portable meter. This convenient design makes edge perfect for nearly any environment.

Zero Footprint – Using the included wall mount, edge can be placed on a wall, leaving zero footprint on your valuable benchtop space.

Multipurpose Benchtop Cradle – The included benchtop cradle is engineered to serve multiple purposes. It not only houses edge, but acts as a charging station and swivel style electrode holder.

Large, Easy to Read LCD – edge features an LCD that measures 5.5” and is clearly viewable from over 5 meters. Add to that a wide viewing angle of 150 degrees and you have one of the clearest LCD’s in the industry.

Clear, Full Text Messages – In addition to its large LCD, edge also features clear, full text guides displayed on the bottom of the screen. There is no need to decipher scrambled abbreviations; these helpful messages guide you through the measuring process quickly and easily.

Capacitive Touch – edge features sensitive capacitive touch buttons for accurate keystrokes when navigating edge’s menus and screens. Since they are part of the screen, the buttons can never get clogged with sample residue.

Digital Electrodes – You never have to worry about the right angle or aligning pins correctly with edge Digital Electrodes. They feature an easy to connect design with a round, digital connection that plugs in quickly and easily, yet firmly. They are also easy to exchange when you want to change from measuring pH, DO or EC to another parameter.

Dual USB Ports – edge can be connected to a computer or USB flash drive for transferring logged data. It can also be charged while plugged into a powered USB port.

TECHNICAL FEATURES IN-DEPTH:

Multiparameter – edge is a highly accurate multiparameter meter capable of measuring pH, DO (dissolved oxygen), and EC (electrical conductivity). Just switch electrodes* to change the parameter you need to measure.

Digital Sensors – edge features special electrodes that have an easy to plug-in connection and built-in temperature sensor. All sensors are automatically recognized when connected to the edge. When a sensor is connected data including serial number and calibration information is transferred.

Sensor CheckTM – Reliable, properly working electrodes are one of the keys to accurate measurements, so Hanna helps you determine the status of your electrode with Sensor Check. Sensor Check monitors your pH electrodes, providing real-time status of both the junction and glass. It essentially tells you when there are problems such as cracked glass or dirty, clogged junctions.

Cal CheckTM – Cal Checkalerts users to potential problems during the calibration of the pH electrode. Indicators include “Electrode Dirty/Broken”, “Buffer Contaminated”, electrode response time and the overall probe condition as a percentage that is based on the offset and slope characteristics.

Built-in Temperature Sensor – edge features a built-in temperature sensor to compensate for differences in temperature. No need to plug in a separate temperature sensors, one connection and one electrode does it all.

Multiple Calibration Points – edge features multiple calibration points to increase measurement accuracy. The pH electrode can be calibrated up to 5 points while both DO and EC offer two point calibration.

Log on Demand – Log data on up to 1000 samples. All readings include date, time and GLP Data that can be transferred to a USB flash drive or to a PC (Windows or Mac).

GLP Feature – edge includes a GLP Feature thatallows users to view calibration data, probe ID, and calibration expiration information for the sensor being used. GLP data for pH electrodes include date, time, buffers used for calibration, and offset and slope characteristic.
